Very disappointed

Today the spinning wheel arrived. When the car of the postman drove into our driveway, I ran to the door and almost danced to his car. I got the package.. I was in chok! The spinning wheel was packed, using 2 bauhaus paper storage boxes and lots of tape. It was a mess!

I ran inside with the package, found a scissor, and carefully clipped the tape. I wouldn't destroy anything inside the box.

I lifted the top aaaaand ... The biggst disappointed EVER!
The spinningwheel I lifted up, was not new, as her ad said. Nor was it an elizabeth 2 spinning wheel.
Inside the box was a traditional spinning wheel. And no extra bobbins or the lazy kate, as she also has promised me.

I tried to call her, I wrote her, and no answers. How could she do such a thing! And I have paid so much money for this!

I hope that, when I have time, I will drive by (approx. 4 hours drive ... one way ... )
She can have the spinning wheel back. I want my money back.

And this time I will save.. Save up! So I can buy a new one. And I can be sure that I get the real deal. New, unused, an Elizabeth 2 spinning wheel and with the bobbins and Lazy Kate. I can be sure I get everything..

This is the last time I buy something from a private person, over the internet.. I thought you could be trusted, Gitte.. I trusted you.. :'(

Lot to do ...

Today was first real day at school. Started out, not that great.
I overslept ...
I got my boyfriend up, and we drove off.
I was happy to be in school again, but didn't expect the teachers to go that hardcore from the beginning. International Marketing from A-M and 12 picture analysis of magazine covers.. I almost fell asleep!
Luckily, it was a short day.. Phew! I don't think I could stand 2 more hours of analysis torture.

When we came home, I sat down, knitted for about an hour and couldn't take it any longer.
I have been embarrased about the fact, that I haven't trimmed the to angora girls in the colony, and due to the bad weather we've gotten the last few days, there fur wasn't that delicate anymore.
I then 6 p.m. began to shear one of them. The one with most felt.
She was happy when I was done. She could now run more freely without the heavy weight of dirty fleece.

I almost adjusted my drumcarder. The spikes have begun touching eachother. It got some oil and the spikes got adjusted. It now runs freely without a sound! ^_^

My new spinningwheel haven't arrived yet. I am getting mad at the lady I bought it from.. Almost 3 weeks to sent a bloody spinningwheel.. It can't be true.. If it doesn't arrive wednesday, I will call her and tell that I do not trust her anymore about sending the spinningwheel.. I will pick it up personally. And I expect getting some money in refund, for the shipment she was to lazy to do, Fortunately I have saved her full name, adress, phonenumber, the text messages between us and a screenshot of the ad.
She cannot run away.. I have paid a lot of money for that wheel.. And I expect having it, this week! Wednesday it have been exactly 3 weeks, since I send the payment.
I am so disappointed at her.. VERY disappointed!

Knitting, while waiting

Now I have been waiting for my spinning wheel for a bit too long.. The woman, from whom I bought it, said I would have it by friday, but I haven't received it yet.
I then contacted her, and she told me that an error have occurred, the box was broken and she have recieved it again.. Sorry for me ...
She have send it again today, and hopefully I will recieve it by wednesday.

While I have been waiting I have knitted a lot of stuff.. I've knitted 2 pairs of socks from the sock yarn I got for Christmas and I am currently knitting a pair of convertible mittens for my self, out of the alpaca wool I bought, between Christmas and New Year.
Because of how thick it is, it goes really fast! I have during the last two days, knitted approx. 1.5 mitten.

They look and feels so comfy! I'm really proud of my self.

Last saturday my boyfriend, bestie and I also drove off to pick up to more rabbits. The ad said, two french lop girls in the age of 6 month. We drove off and picked them up. So lovely, big and had the nicest personalities! I was so happy. I put them down to the others in the colony and ... nothing.. no fighting no running around ... nothing.. I was happy and wrote the seller, that the girls was getting well introduced to the colony and no problems have occured. About 2 days ago, we walked over to see how it went. They where all sitting together, enjoying eachother and eating off the new piece of wood, we have bought them. The one of the news, then jumped up on one of the 'older' ones and I wanted to check if they really where girls.. I was really wondering why there have been no fighting at all.

I lifted it up and ... a penis ... I was schocked! The two girls have turned out to be two boys.. And these two boys have roamed our colony and proberly made babies with all of them.. I am soo mad at my self for not checking this before.

Luckily the girls where all old enough to make babies, and we have also thought about breeding them in the end of january, so there was no harm done there. We just haven't expected it.
So now we expect about 38 rabbit babies in march. It's going to be fun.. ^^'

What a mess!

What a storm, there is outside! I know I live near the ocean, which means, I have to consider the possibilites for stronger wind. But this ... this is unbelievable!

And the worst part is that the chimney have broken too. :(
No more knitting in front of the warm kindling fireplace.  Atleast, as long as the chimney hasn't been fixed.
We expect it will be fixed in the nearest future.

My studies goes ... well .. good, i guess? It have been standing still for the last two days, because of lack of concentration. I think it will be better soon. I only have one week left, before I have my due.
Those semester exams, are pretty tuff.

I just hope that these things will be over soon, because I really don't like the thought of storm without being able to sit in front of the fire, and thinking about summer ... anybody with me here?

I think this was all I have to tell about today.. So enjoy a picture of my parrots having fun.
See ya' next time!

Spinning - Two things arrived!

I'm very happy for home-made things. This also includes knitting and spinning.
I ordered some stuff over the danish website; GulogGratis.dk.
An Yarn Umbrella Swift and a Ballwinder, for easier winding my yarn into balls, for knitting.

Today these things arrived! I was so excited, when I drove off to the Postoffice, to pick up my things.
I drove home as fast as the car and the speed restictions allowed me, and opened my package.

... Just was I expected. They are PERFECT!

The Yarn Swift is made out of wood, and is enormous! But there is a perfect fit for the skeins from my Niddy Noddy.

The Ballwinder is almost too good. I can make a cake/ball in minutes on it, I already love them!

I only need the last thing, before my 'collection' is complete.

My new spinning wheel! I ordered this, from the same website, a brand new spinning wheel, from a nice lady, who have bought it in hope of learning to spin. She gave up and put it one sale. Now it's mine! SOO happy!

The spinning wheel is an Elisabeth 2 from Ashford. I have for a long time 'sloppered' all over this model. I simply thinks it is gorgeous!
And now I finally got my hands on one, All I need for now, is just to get it delivered.

Here I am.. Hallo to you!

Well. After a long time, looking at all those wonderful blogs out there, I also wanted to make one.
So here it is. My simple, small and not so flashy blog ... yet.
I am still new in this, so bear with me. Practice makes perfect, like everyone says. And this is what
it is going to be.

I first wants to introduce myself.

Hello World! I'm Amee. I'm born in '93, lives in Denmark and
I am currently studying Multimedia Design on my 2nd semester.

I love ... no that is not showing it good enough ... LOOOVE animals and most of all, exotic pets and house pets.

I therefore have; 4 angora rabbits for fur, 3 rex rabbits for skin and meat and 2 french lop for meat.
Beside these, I also have 2 parrots. An African Grey and a Blue and Gold Macaw.

And yes ... of course does my pets have names! They are; Jamie, Sheela, Mary, Vale, Grey, Lucy, Zoey, Siv, Josse, Felix and Emma.

This blog is going to be like a diary for me. I will use it to tell about my exitements, my sorrows
and all that is between. I think I am primarily going to talk about handcrafts (knitting and spinning), my pets and my studies.

So here you go, guys. And itsy bitsy, tiny part of me. :)
See you all!
